View the Future
Dear Member,
This year the CFA Society of the Netherlands will combine two of its most visible and high profile annual events into one opportunity to
reflect and share views on the Future.
Date
Wednesday 15 February 2012
Program
15:30 to 18:30 CFA Institute Research Challenge, Olympic Stadium, Amsterdam
19:00 to 23:00 CFA Netherlands Annual Forecasting Dinner, The Rosarium, Amsterdam
CFA Institute Research Challenge
Each year roughly 60 students from 11 Universities in the Netherlands and Belgium spend the better part of five months engaged in research competition by writing an equity research report on a publicly traded company, and presenting that report to a panel of experts. In the semi-finals Tilburg University was awarded with the prize for Best Report on Imtech N.V. On 15 February the four finalist teams will compete for the first prize which includes a cash prize for the team, individual scholarships for the CFA program, and the opportunity to participate in the Challenge on a European and potentially global level. Members are invited to view the presentations. Come see what these young Finance Professionals of the Future have to offer.

Annual Forecasting Dinner
Organized annually, the CFA Society of the Netherlands invites local and international experts in the field of finance to present their view on the near Future.
What anticipated market and economic developments should be reckoned with in the year ahead? We are still busy putting together an exceptional program for you,
but one speaker has already been confirmed: Frank Gill, Senior Director Sovereign Ratings for Standard and Poor’s will brief you on S&P’s latest rating actions on the Eurozone countries.
The evening includes a dinner, presentations as well as open discussions. This makes for an excellent networking opportunity as well in getting to know both members and non-members. Members receive a discount on the cost of the three course dinner, and the dinner is also open for non-members.
CE Credits
To CFA Institute members: this event qualifies for 2 hours of Continuing Education credit.
Please mark these events in your agendas and watch your inbox for an email in the near Future.
A formal invitation with a more detailed program and RSVP instructions will follow shortly.
Kind regards
